If the pads are sweet but the light keeps coming on, just unplug the wires.

Cheers BigPete It turned out the wire was arching on the shaft that made that light come on  . Just a quick trim and all good lol. Pads were good.

Nah just force of habit really lulz, clocked up like $14k worth of fines when I was a lad driving on my learners, in un warranted and un registered cars, sometimes cars with the wrong number plates etc, just general stupid sh*t like that  :D  :-\  Car was known so I would literally pass a cop and see him do a full 180 and come after me, every time... This was down in Lower Hutt tho.

I would look back and think - Fu*k that, but, considering I got $12.5k wiped cos I 'couldn't afford to pay it over 5 years and live' (thanks part time job and $160 p/wk payslips) haha - the only condition of getting $12.5k in fines wiped you may ask?

Get a Restricted licence, and a current WOF and Registration  :D

Fkn joke if you ask me haha, I should have been made to pay after years of blatently ignoring our road rules, but, cos of the system, I didnt - Now I ask you, how many other people does this happen to? Lots, and lots....

Girlwithpug

Thats Friggan Awesome I think.  14 grand is a shit load to pay and if it was the old system you would of had your full and not get all those fines .
I used to drive without my L plates as I felt people would use them as a target for being dick heads to me . Like cut in front of me then slam their brakes on shit like that.
Hell Im going to write to try and get off the $100.00 buck fine I got a couple of weeks ago driving whistled on learners without a supervisor .  She was a nice cop and all, I think cause I was driving my sis who is very disabled  she had some empathy and understanding.  I will photocopy my Restricted and send it with the copy of my ticket . Worth ago.  The old lady happy to pay as she said I was doing her a favour by dropping my sis off for her, and she knowing I was on my learners .

law's pretty black and white though. should probably just shell out for the ticket bud.
also, on your restricted you may be able to get a special circumstances thing put on it for hooning round with your sis. best to cover all bases etc eh?

Yeah when I was on my restricted I could drive my little sisters to school or music lessons without a supervisor - can't remember how that worked though but it definitely used to be doable so probably still is.  I think my mum may have sorted it for me, it's too long ago now for me to remember hah!  :)

Yeah may have to suck that one up .
There is a thing on that restricted  copy and pasted below

What are the conditions for a restricted car licence?

    * You must always have your restricted licence with you when you're driving.
    * You can drive on your own, but not between 10pm and 5am. Between these times you must have a supervisor in the front passenger seat who holds a full New Zealand car licence, and has held it for at least two years.
    * If you sat the test in an automatic vehicle, your licence will say that you can only drive automatic vehicles.
    * You must not carry passengers unless you have a supervisor with you. The only passengers you can carry without a supervisor are:
o your spouse or person you live with as if you were married, or with whom you are joined in civil union
o children who live with you and are under the care of you or your spouse (you or your spouse are their parent or guardian)
o relatives who live with you and who are on a social security benefit (domestic purposes, widow's, invalid's, unemployment or sickness)
o someone you look after as their primary caregiver.

sweet, so if you live with your bf/gf you can roll on the restricted.
also if you're on the dole you can be carted by someone on their restricted.
