Introductions / Renault Servicing - Auckland
Last post by zaggo - January 09, 2019, 02:21:02 PM
Hello all,

Brand new owner of a 2014 Renault RS265 - first French car and absolutely loving it so far!

Does anyone have any recommendations for where to get her serviced in Auckland? Seems there's a million places that specialise in BMWs or VWs but haven't had any luck in getting recs for the Renault.

Cheers,
Steven

Welcome to FF!
You could try send 'Don Simon' on here a PM as he seems to get French ones and zeros...

Hi All,
I am new to fastfrogs, but old to pugs, and well, old anyway.  Past rides include  306, 309, 205CTI 1.9, 405Mi16 x 3, 504, 406, 407, and now a couple of 206 S16s.

I have just taken possession of my second 206S16, non-runner. Previous owner said they lost the immobiliser chip from inside the key, and then couldn't start the car. Got a new key from local dealer, and apparently had the car programmed to suit the new key, but it still won't go.

I am thinking about buying some software eg PP2000 to interrogate the BSI, and maybe program the BSI to suit the new key.  Any recommendations on what software to buy, what to avoid, where to purchase?  Or better still, anybody local to Invercargill that may be able to help?
If I dont  get the car started, I will dismantle for parts for the other car, which is in Auckland.

So as much as I've enjoyed sausage stuffers and the sexy french redhead for the last year, she needs to go to accomodate more kid-friendly modes of transportation.  And by kid-friendly I mean something that can lug around all their crap!  Currently listed on Facebook Marketplace - cheap entry to RS ownership!

It still looks in great condition. If I was any close to you, I'd definitely be interested. Btw hello and Happy New Year from me to everyone in the community.

Actually I looked through and no dash pieces, yet. I reckon they'll start making them soon - maybe send them a message?

just had a look at that website, they have the ever elusive be1 gear knob for 20 euro

Thanks for the link! Looks like they have it for LHD (easy enough to find in LHD any way) So I just sent them a message if they have any for RHD.

I have all the paint codes for the correct colours for wheels, roof, etc somewhere. My research suggests most people hate it when people use non-OEM colours for those sorts of things. Body colours are a different matter - I've always wanted a silver one!

Start a project thread for the old thing!  :)
