Welcome to the GTi6 club by the way (even if you're an imported interloper!) I've got a '99 Phase 2.5 in Cherry Red (which is probably the rarest colour of them all in NZ.... it's the only one!). I love it, although I HATE red cars.

i just looked up your cherry red they only made 500 and they all went to the UK. so you must of stolen yours from there

Mine was NZ New, sold new here by Precision Automobiles, the Pug dealer on the North Shore.... one must have escaped down here

I was gonna respray mine in Yellow (not blaze), but since it's such a rarity, I'll be respraying it in factory Cherry. It's got some damage on the roof (it was vandalised before I bought it) so it makes sense to return it to factory freshness if I'm already having to repaint half the car.

It should happen sometime in Autumn once I've cleared the Exige out of the garage.
