Hi I normally frequent VASK,  RedlineGTI,   &  Eurosport  and have always liked the Hot Hatch.
Recently sold my mk2 Golf and my mk3 Golf VR6, not long had a Suzuki Swift Cultus gti (but it just dropped a load of valves )
The wife drives a 2001 Fiat punto.
I have had ZX Volcane TDI, Saxo vtr and Punto GT in the UK but my favourite frogs are old skool - Citreon Visa gti and the Renault 5 Gordini.
I'm in the process of getting a 106 xsi which is why I thought I'd sign up.

yeah i'd be careful of that one, about 3 days ago it was a blue Gti..

Hi Softlad, glad you made the journey.  Did the Blue VR6 sell in the end?

My black one, Yes the autobox got worse & it got parked up, and following the assault when I busted my shoulder, the thought of swaping the gearbox did not really appeal to me, so it's moved on, sold with a replacement box.

Did you find what you were after when you were inquiring about the vr6?

Oops yeah sorry Black, my son ended up with a MR2 and we got a Renault 5 as a project car.  Thought I'd do the same, branch out and try something a bit more involved.  Although I'm still on VASK and Bimmersport everyday seeing what is happening

I wouldn't go back though.
I'm having more fun with cars since coming to NZ than I ever really did in the UK
I do nearly all my own work on them here which is the fun part for me.
I'd got to the grown up stage in the UK with a V6TDi Passat wagon the misses has a breathed on new Mini Cooper (breathed on as they are crap from factory) and a mk1/2 Golf Clipper Convertible.
So I an rediscovering my youth with the hot hatches at the moment

New, Seems other Vaskers beat me to it..  saw my first LIVE 106 (Gti none the less!) in Gold today!
(Wellington)  Oh the bug! I am being bitten.. 
Back from working overseas.. looking for a job.. once that has been achieved its getting the old Golf Gti up and running or..  Oh crap.. the Dilemma!  Thought I'd sign up!
