I see some fantastic merging techniques on a daily basis. People don't like letting other people in. OMG %$#* I might be a few seconds late to work!

Smaller car. I currently drive an old five door hatch (a Laser), so don't want anything bigger.
Would prefer something newer.
Ideally up to 10k, but I have a bit of wiggle room.

Saw a GTI 180 on Trade Me and had to stop drooling. Was definitely a bit on the spensy side though! I also want to feel safe and like I am attached to the road... something the current Laser doesn't offer!

Thanks for the offer to guys! I might have to take you up on the offer. I've driven a standard 206 but nothing else...
