I agree the actual racing wasn't brillant, but I got right into the service area and got to meet some of the drivers which was mint. A few pics and vids- that I'll post once I get a moment to sort through them all.

I'm still reeling from the 4 days.  Less than excited by being back at work.

Favourite moments included watching the lights getting fitted to Loeb's car in the domain while Loeb was pissing against a road sign.  We were only standing a metre away from the car, that kind of access doesn't happen in other kinds of motorsport.  The best part of the Domain stage was watching the Fords and Citroens warming their tyres and brakes on the road below the museum before the stage with launch control starts, weaving the cars into slides and massive skidding stops.  It is worth noting that the Fords were braking before the sleeping policemen, the Citroen were going full tit right over them.

I also liked the lack of supervision in most places we went.  Like the safety marshall down Te Akau way knew nothing about rallying and just thought it was funny how much we abused each other.  I've been to more Rally NZs than most of the drivers and it is usually only the guys operating the start and finish lines who actually know what is going on, they are true GCs.

me and Colin saw some super 2000's hooning up the bus lane on the northern before Domain stage; cops in hot pursuit :D

Then just past the Shelly Beach exit a Focus had been pulled over by 2 cops. Couldn't see the name but it was Abu Dhabi sponsored.

And yes, Te Akau saftey marshaling leaves alot to be desired (as far as the organisers are concerned). "Wear this vest. Stand over there"

Take it to Bishops

Get a Peugeot

gutted i missed this. got to drunk and was surviving a hangover haha
