Hey guys, thanks for the comments on the BX - it may not be obvious with the camera flashback, but the odometer is in miles, so it's just on 140,000km. 88km would be awesome though!

We secured the car after about a year looking for a 16V, tried a few GTi's which were nice but was keen to hang on for a 16V. Got it 11 years ago with 40,000 miles on the clock from an owner who got talked into selling it - carpets still had the protective plastic on them!

I don't use a car during the week, so it's really only weekend driving and trips away hence the lower mileage.
Despite careful cleaning, etc it has still suffered from cracked plastic syndrome along the interior windscreen/dash trim - grrrr. (Apparently a real major to take out and replace).

The Wellington outing on the 11th sounds like a plan, I'm sure I can fit that in. I'll keep a watch out for the meeting time and place. Afternoon suits us.

That dash thing anoys me too, I have to replace my windowscreen before next warrent and may have a chance to replace then. That's if you can get them anymore.

you have to get the dash out-which is a major-not real hard, but a long mish.i smashed just mine out-it was cracked in three places, rebuilt it as a template, and made a new one, looks fine. my P2 has a mint one thank christ.

if it comes with a sunroof,  no aircon, generally an english import. No sunroof= aircon, NZ new. Of course exceptions to the rule though, but not a lot in NZ were special orders. Would KILL for a leather interior 16v,only a couple in the country i think.

hmmm air con or sunroof, I do like the sun roof as Ive had no leaky issues and I dont have long hair for it to get stuck into. But air con is very useful specially if its a hot rainy day??
Yes a Black leather BX16v would suit me fine, any on the FF's member's got such a lush whip

Hey Cam, yep that's A/C and correct no sunroof.

I avoided the sunroof ones as I'd heard of issues with blocked rear drains leaking water into the C pillars. Really nice to have them open on the right day though.

BX's fitted with A/C also had the ability to close off outside air to the cabin - like if you're following a smoky diesel.
Even at it's lowest setting the BX ventilation fan still chucks out a bit of air which can be pretty noxious if you're behind the wrong vehicle.

Hmmm, leather interior. I do recall seeing a dark green BX round Wellington with black leather, might have been a GTi though. Would have been about 10 years back. I've never seen the full 16V Recaro seats in leather, even on the net.

yeah i think they were GTI spec, BUUUT you could sort out a leather  BX set, and chuck MI 16 fronts in, which were recaro spec, for some weird reason. Would be lush, but pricey. Dirty PSA group raggin on the wet cits as per usual.
